    76+ doors on a 74

I have a 1974 c10. Will the 1977-87 doors work!? As far as body lines, latch, door mounts, etc.... I tried searching and can not find what the differences are other than the internals.

    rotor conversion? issue

I know people running them daily with no issues, obviously there is a minimum amount that they are going to shim out your wheel but, I'm not sure what that measurement is, something like 5/8" or 3/4" or some shit. Don't cheap out if you go that route, buy some quality adapters and you should be...

    Steering gear input shaft leak...

Thanks for the info! I just fixed my leak. I only had to change the o-ring, seal and dust cover on my adjuster plug. So far no leaks. This CAN be done without removal of the gear box, however, I removed mine because I wanted to see everything that was going on inside the gear box. What an...

    Steering gear input shaft leak...

Hmmm, I believe it's an 800 since it has the 4 bolts on top of the gear box, opposite of the pitman arm shaft. If I'm not mistaken, I have to break loose the steering shaft, undo the the lock ring, use a spanner wrench to remove the first deal, replace the o-ring, then reassemble, no?

    Steering gear input shaft leak...

I probably skimmed through it along with a million others :dogpile:, this is the best rebuild post I came across here...... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/how-rebuild-your-saginaw-zj-steering-gear-1287958/ BUT, I'm only looking to replace the 1 seal. I'm thinking most just remove the...

Advice needed: Which components for dropping?

WOW! That looks MUCH better!!!!! I think it looks perfect as is! So if I read your post correctly, you a have a 3/5 drop as it sits right now? You didn't use the coils, and the flip kit alone is 5" (3" tube and 2" leaf?)

    Steering gear input shaft leak...

I tried doing searches and came up with mixed results. As the title says, my input shaft seal is leaking, pretty damn good too. I know the seal is around $10 dollars but, from what I've gathered, the only reason it would leak is the shaft is worn, or internal damage. With that being said, is...

Advice needed: Which components for dropping?

Oh wow, from all the threads I've searched and maybe on other forums, the consensus was anything more than 4" required a mild notch. Very mixed opinions I guess. This is proof I can just remove the bump stop and call it good, with a 5" drop. For the time being though, I plan on just...

Advice needed: Which components for dropping?

Haha this is what I'm thinking. I like the look of the fender wells right above the fenders and was originally thinking of a 4/5 drop. I'm not sure if I want to notch my frame though, as all the things start to add up quick! :Whoa: Sorry, don't mean to thread jack, although I REALLY would...

Advice needed: Which components for dropping?

Updates? Interested in the same, not sure if I want to go flip kit in the rear or hanger and shackles. I'm torn between 4 or 5 inches in the rear. I'm diggin your step side btw! SOOPER clean looking, especially with those rallies!!!

Hey thanks again all, @bucket.....that's HILARIOUS! Definitely sounds like you have MY luck lol. Thanks for the heads up, I think I might just do that instead. @old77, yes they are, they're 15x8 front and rear but tires are staggered to give it that look, until I find some 15x10's for the...

Here it is.............. Yes, that's power steering fluid leaking on the driveway. I did a little reading and I guess it's a pretty common problem that my local parts store should have the replacement seal for. We'll see..........

Hello all, new to this forum and also to the squares. I picked myself up a 74 c10 stepside and have a few plans for it, as far as, lowering, front end rebuild, a/c install, etc, etc. Search button has helped out greatly but there are still some unanswered items I'd like to pinpoint in the near...
