    Welding to frame

    I had an idea to make my own rocksliders for my k20 because i couldnt find any for pick ups and i like the look and it will double as a step. My design i'm thinking of would have them welded to the frame. Is it okay to weld onto the frame? Will it weaken it or am i okay with this?

    Death wobble

    So i just finished the truck today and the first time i ran it down the road it had the real bad shakes. I just put a 6 inch lift on it and as of right now do not know what is causing this. The front shaft shouldnt be turning while in 2wd should it? Any suggestions are helpful

    Bed Bolts

    Okay so when i took my bed off i had to cut the bolts because they were so rusty. My question is what grade bolts do i need to get if i need grade 5 or 8 where do i get that high a grade in carriage bolts?

    Tach

    I've looked around and haven't found anything about installing a tach. if i missed it i apologize for starting a new thread. But can anyone tell me how to install a tach on an 84 square with a 350? thanks.

    Bushings

    This is kinda related to lifted springs and springs in general. My brother is having a problem on his truck where he cant get the bushings our of the rear springs. What do ya'll do to bushings out? he needs his truck running soon...

    Dead positrac...

    So the shop that is re-gearing my axles just called and said the positrac in my 14 bolt was about dead and any offroad use could kill it. Do ya'll have any recomendations for a something to replace it? thanks.

    I was looking at my dads 93 c1500 today to see what the steering looked like and i had an idea... Would it be possible to take the steering system out of a 2wd pickup and put it into a 4wd with a passenger side knuckle that is drilled at tapped for the pitman arm? it seems to me like it would...

    New in MD

    Hi Ya'll, My names Joel. I'm from MD and i am kind of a redneck. I bought a 1984 K30 which may be a K20. Not sure. It has a 4 inch lift and 35's on it right now. Planning on more 8 inch lift this summer.
