I've looked around and haven't found anything about installing a tach. if i missed it i apologize for starting a new thread. But can anyone tell me how to install a tach on an 84 square with a 350? thanks.

What tach do you have? Most have 4 wires, power, ground, light, and tach lead.

haha yeah i didnt relize how easy they are to hook up on factory HEI ignitions until about a year ago...and speaking of which can you hook up a factory style in an 1984 C10 where the gas gauge is and then get the small factory gas gauge to put where the factory analog clock is?? i really wanna do that if its even possible

You can with heavy mods to the cluster gauge housing and curcit board.

You can with heavy mods to the cluster gauge housing and curcit board.

if it is possible then i will start looking into in i wanna get rid of my aftermarket tach on my dashboard im gonna be buying a new dash pad and they arent cheap and im not gonna be drilling holes in a new dash and i dont want it on my steering column either lol

If your cluster has the screw posts made for the fuel gauge in the clock opening then yes you can. Some do some dont.

If your cluster has the screw posts made for the fuel gauge in the clock opening then yes you can. Some do some dont.

i have had it all out a couple of times and i honestly cant remember bud if it does or not

I have 4 clusters and 2 of em do have the posts and 2 dont. And if I remember correctly it takes a smaller screw, if you try to use one too large it will break the post and then you're ****** lol
