Washer fluid reservoir leaking again. I had to try this. The stock pump isn't strong enough to pull fluid with this setup.

I'll probably go with a 2 liter aluminum tank from Amazon for $30 and a different pump.

Then again, might just upgrade the pump and let it fly.

Replaced more vacuum and canister hoses, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, pcv, and changed the oil. Then took it for a drive, to fill up the passenger side tank, more placebo effect, it ran better...lol...

Did verify the air cleaner flap is working, closed when cold, open at operating temperature. Next up, emissions testing.

On the plus side, no flakes or anything shiny in the oil.

May have located the tiny ATF leak, too, the speedometer cable was a smidge loose at the trans, so snugged that up while I was crawling around on the concrete.

Got my tcc lockup working on the new transmission today. Ended up using the B&M controller, so far I like it a lot! Install was pretty easy and it’s easy to set up. Hopefully that’s all of the mechanical done on the truck (for)now, fingers crossed

Also got the led strip light under the front bumper glued on now.

Started to rain before I could get done. So gotta finish tomorrow if weather holds up.

Friday I scuffed and prepped the bed. I bought one of those nylon cup brushes that are raved about for bedliner prep and I am not a fan. I ended up just doing it by hand with some aggressive scotch-brite type pads that were included in the Monstaliner kit. It took me about an hour and a half.

Saturday morning I scuffed a few spots I missed, taped it off, wiped down with solvent and rolled two coats on the sides and three on the floor/tailgate.

As you can see from the pics the bed is pretty dinged up/dented so I wasn’t looking for perfection but wanted to protect it from rust and provide a good surface for frequently hauling nonsense for my various house/farm/tractor project shenanigans.

Can my truck have a sleepover to replace gas tanks, sending units, and hard lines one day?... I'm in Midlothian and travel to Mathews County to our Family house in the bay often...not too far from the beach BUOY!

Maybe we'll see. Front suspension on this beast first, oil pan gasket/rear main seal, probably a timing chain and looks like some brake fun too. Oh the joy hope to be done before memorial day.

3.42 with limited slip is installed and quiet. $150 ebay limited slip and used factory gears from eBay as well. Replaced the warped and leaking trans pan with a new one with a drain plug.

I highly recommend a sway bar disconnect kit. I have the exact same springs and shocks on mine. Before the sway bar disconnect kit, it was rough. Sway bar connected with the disconnect kit, back to feeling about like it did stock, then with the sway bar disconnected, rides great.
Already on my list my freind. I kinda thought I was going to need them but wanted to see how things went first
