Got new heater core in it. And everything still works…bonus.
Except for the power windows…..must’ve pulled the wire out of the fuse box while wrestling that schitt out and back in.
Was a larger pain in the ____than I expected, although like @Soundmound said, I bet the 2nd or 3rd time would go twice as quick.
I did leave that one bottom nut off, until I make sure it’s damn sure not coming out again! Lol.
Can’t even reach that one to start the nut. Idk, may have to rent someone’s 8 year old kid with small hands and arms to get that one started on the stud. Lol.

Ha! I had to wrap the screws to the nut driver with elect tape to get the 2 little screws in the heater box under the foam (which I was careful not to tear then tore it out and put new foam in it afterwards…lol)
Didn’t think about taping the swivel for the bottom nut. Good idea. Couldn’t keep it from flopping.

Got some progress on the fuel lines done over the weekend. Then ran out of parts!
Looks good! Never seen the long boots on the plug wires on the distributor cap before.

Thanks! Just decided to try something different. Shows the red wire insulation more when the air cleaner is installed.

After work, I Removed the two bolts I couldn’t get yesterday. The high speed grinder took care of what the drill couldn’t. The square holes are round which explains why they rotated when hit with the impact. I will need to purchase some square washers to weld to the bed. Can one buy those or will I need to employ a dremel and file on a round washer? I also removed the screws attaching the fuel filler necks. Tomorrow, I’ll remove the rear bumper and wheels so I can slide the bed back a few feet.
Been skimming over this so if someone already answered, then a mod can delete this.

These are available at the hardware store <$1 for decks. Can flatten out the spikes and they work perfectly. Doing this with 2 holes in my bed that rounded out. IIRC its a 1/2" size - the largest that was in my store was the perfect fit. I ground down the edges so it would fit in between the bed ribs.

Trying my hand at making a rear heater box for my Suburban. Making kind of a prototype first so I can figure out how I want it. Uses all the original parts. Just want it to be more sturdy so it can't get hit by stuff and broken.

Radiator guy called me yesterday and said he couldn't find a leak in it. Hmm I swear it was leaking on the truck. Maybe not from Radiator. Oh well 20 bucks for pressure test. So now just need to put it in and see what happens.

There are a number of different suspension kits on the market, what moved you towards TCI?
A couple reasons, the main one being that I watched them beat up on full chassis trucks in Texas at the C10 Nats with their blue truck that still has a stock frame under it. It had their front kit and a modified version of their rear '67-72 torque arm kit on it and they absolutely waxed the Finch-built trucks. I was IMPRESSED. Secondly, we were able to work out a partnership/sponsorship deal with them through work, so all this will cost me is time and whatever odds and ends I need to get it in the truck.
