I don't consider myself by far an expert. But there are a lot of signs here that would have made me question this truck.

@moonman take a picture of the current vin tag as that will be a sign as well if that has been tampered with.

Well that cross member is not an original piece either! LOL.

Looks like someone tried fabricating a hitch from welds in the center of it.

Or that...lol... If it failed those welds had no penetration because that cross member looks pretty straight.

No bolt holes in trans hump. Hmm looks interesting. mooman I am sending you a PM.
