Seen plenty of paint the plastic examples.
But my door panels seem too nice to lay into with spray paint. They look almost like new everywhere except the top surface is oxidized and lighter color obviously.
Beings I’m adamant about not tearing this truck apart until winter so we can drive it around in one piece this summer, I tried compounding or polishing the oxidized surface.
Just a dab of heavy cut compound, by hand seems to have cut the oxidized plastic away and it’s as shiny as the rest. I might be able to get away with polish in lieu of the compound. It’s just what I grabbed first.
Anyone done this before?
I’ll wait until I have the panels off and apart so I can just hit them with a polisher, but it seemed to work.
Will put up a pic in a bit.
