Hello I am trying to fix up a 1973 3/4 4x4 chevy truck for my son. I am a heavy equipment mechanic in south Texas . I am hoping to get some info on body parts interchange .Thanks

Think you . I have been looking for doors for my 73 and found that most of them are not as wide as my oem doors . Mine are 42'' wide at the body line .All the doors I have found are 41 13/16 to 41 7/8. I don't know if this is normal or have I been finding used aftermarket doors. Thanks for any info on this.

All squarebody doors will interchange (except 1973-75 Blazer/Jimmy of course). 1973-76 had different door panels though and will not fit the later doors and vice-versa.

Is the short width I have been finding a sign of aftermarket doors?

It could be...Or the stamping machine was wearing down over the years. Anything is possible being the truck is over 40 years old.
