Hello I am new to this forum and to square bodys. My father in law recently passed away and left me his 1977 C30 dump bed and a 1978 C20 long bed, as well as probably 10 or so other square body trucks in various states of being picked or salvaged. I would consider myself a shade tree mechanic and usually do all the vehicle maintenance on our "fleet" however all my experience has been with '95 or newer cars and trucks.
Short term goal is try to first get the c30 road worthy and inspected so it can be used around the farm. I would also like to know what parts I should pick off of the other trucks that are too far gone to ever be on the road again and will probably be headed to scrap. Long term goal I would really like to do a restore and build on the c20 and convert it to a 4wd k20. Looking forward to learning and contributing.
