Hey guys,
This is my third square body (Had an 81' Burban 4x4, a 79' 1/2 ton 2wd long box), and now I just picked up an all original 87' 1/2 ton 2wd long box. The body, paint and interior is in great shape and it's going to be a solid base for what I have planned.
To be honest, it will be the biggest project I've ever tackled vehicle wise.
I've already purchased a Ride Tech Level 1 air bag kit to bring her down to earth.
I see Porterbuilt is now offering a back half rear frame piece for our trucks that can be used to convert a long box to short box. My only concern is that it won't work with my existing Ride Tech system. I have sent them an email. If not, the plans are to cut the frame and use new LMC side panels to modify my existing box.
Other than that, I would love a fuel injected 496 and associated beefed up drive line and she will be painted, just not by me!
