I think you need a flywheel meant specifically for running and old style manual behind an LS?

May I ask why? That's seems like and odd combo to me. The LS series is known to be zippy and more fuel efficient, an SM465's owner would not normally have zippy and mpg on the top of their want list. Long shifts and no overdrive just doesn't seem like a good match.

I have the parts and want the granny low. Its not the typical swap which is fine with me. The 5.3 I want for reliability and power. I would put a nv4500 behind it but don't want to spend the money and finding them locally is difficult.

I did find that advanced adapters has everything needed for a little of 600
