how much shorter is a short bed than a long bed

i am about to start my long to short bed conversion. from what i have found i need to cut 14'' out of the frame in front of the rear wheels

does anyone know for sure

LWB pick ups = 131.5"

SWB pick ups = 117.5"

Difference is 14"

The LWB measurement does not apply to cab & chassis trucks.
