Hello everyone I am new here. Just picked up a 82 C20 LWB 2WD last week. Truck was in too good a shape to pass up for the year model. I hope you guys don’t mind me butchering one up, as I am going to try and swap entire truck to 1/2 ton specs. I will be shortening frame and bed. Swapping 14 bolt for 1/2 ton equivalent and changing front end components to 1/2 ton as well. So if you got a 1/2 ton and want to swap parts to 3/4 ton I may know someone. Anyway I hope this is good and I am sure I will be jumping in wide open. BTW this truck is for my 14 year old daughter as she will be swinging wrenches with me. Well anyway hope to see y'all around the forum.

Welcome. If you don't find anything closer. I'd bet you do, but I'll have a lot of what you need here in LaCygne KS and I'd be willing to swap. I've got a 1/2 ton that was going to make a heavy 1/2 out of.

Thank you I wouldn’t mind it but this is the “one” as she said for her. I tried to give her the Tahoe her mom currently has and get my wife a new one but she said it was too new. I would have loved a vehicle that new when I was her age.
