I was reading a thread yesterday or the day before that had someone putting gauges from a 96 or 98 Dodge pickup into their cluster. Problem is... I can't remember WHERE or WHAT FORUM I saw it on!!! I thought it was on one of the truck forums I visit, but I have been unable to locate it again. Then I thought it was on the Monte forum, but I can't find it their either.

The reason I wanted to find it again was because a kid at my shop is putting a 5.3 into a 07 Jeep Wrangler, and I wanted to see how the conversion was done with the different brands sensors.

Has anyone else run across a conversation about this lately? If you have, will you please post the link?! Gracias mi amigo!

edit: Oh hey, found it! Had some help from the wife. She jogged my memory.

Kind of plain and basic looking, but it is another concept we could take from. The gauges actually fit really nice.

Link for the curious... http://forum.73-87chevytrucks.com/smforum/index.php?topic=18034.0 I know some don't care for the site, sorry. Not a great follow after he got them into the cluster either.

I can get gauge clusters for $17 each.....I have a square cluster sitting here already and the yard has like 10 1996-98 Rams...Hmmmm...

I wonder though if the speedometer works.

But GM electronic speedos use a 4000 pulse per mile wave. I don't know what the Dodges use.

Me either. Guess it's time to get one of those dodge gauges and see if it'll work.

GM uses 4000 pulse from the sensor. but is the signal being transmitted after all the buffers and ECM/PCM to the Speedo still that 4000 pulse signal?
