Front main seal leak.

So im convinced that my oil leak is on the front of the motor, prolli the main seal? Hard to replace?

Nope, just a pain in the ass. You'll need to take the fan off to get it out of your way. You'll need to remove the harmonic balancer and pulley of course along with the belts. You should have enough room at that point. If not, remove the fan shroud too and should be home free as far as space. Carefully pry, bend or break the old seal out without doing damage to the timing cover. Tap the new seal in and reassemble.

Do insepct the balancer snout. Make sure it's not grooved where the old seal was riding. If it is, you might need sleeve and oversize seal kit or a new balancer.

If you got good digital flash camera, stick it in and around the nooks and crannies in the front there and get some pics. That is a great tool you use to identify the exact source of the leak.

ight, maybe it be a good time to do when i rip that front axle out huh? or atleast get a better picture of where its coming from. It could be the powersteering pump and its covering everything and just dripping down by the main but my focus has been else were on the truck to rly care at the moment, its not horriable just enought to annoy me.
