Any tips on swapping a 350 gas into a 79 I really don't want to pull the tranny off is it possible?

Are you swapping diesel to gas? Or just swapping out motors? You don't have to remove the tranny you just have to support it with a tranny jack, but if you want to move it you can remove the engine while supporting the trans and then you can put a couple of bolts that fit in the holes on the transmission and put a steel rod of some sort across the frame rails. You could kind of ratchet strap it along with that too

No just moving it from one truck to another truck my truck rusted out and got another coming from.out west. It's just gas to gas. Will I need to pull the cross member?

No, you don't have to remove the crossmember, driveshaft or any of that. Just support the transmission. Take out the bell housing bolts and the converter bolts. Also disconnect the TV/Detent cable if it's a 700r4 or Th350.

I'm wanting to not take the transmission off the motor so I can just transplant it into the new k 10. by the way the tranny is an nv 3500

Yeah, just pull the front clip from the trucks and remove the whole shebang. You can do it without removing the clip, but it would be much easier.

How hard is pulling the clip? Wat bolts do I pull how hard without pulling it?
