Hello all, I am looking for an electric under dash A/C unit for my 86 k20. It’s not a factory A/C truck, and I’m really wishing it was here in az right now! If anybody knows a good unit please help a fellow out

It's going be too much for your trucks electrical as is. You'll need wiring, Alternator and probably a battery upgrade.

^^^what he said^^^ a GOOD electrical A/C unit will be wattage hungry, around 950 watts. Your wiring, alternator, battery will be insufficient. Unless you’re running a 130 amp alt or more don’t waste your time. Do your homework, math required. I’ve looked into it and it is most certainly cost prohibitive for the the older squares.

qualyair.us makes an electric compressor that pulls about 75 amps to start and drops to 40 amps running. I have a friend that put one in his rat Rod and seems to be happy with it.
It can be found
Here

Don't most of the vintage air, classic air, etc... kits not need to be a factory AC vehicle? They usually have the whole unit under the dash.

Maybe try a good quality fan to move the air while you're looking into this A/C issue.
