I recently broke the Glass Channel on the drivers side window of my 74 K5. LMC does not stock these and I cannot seem to locate a vendor. Would anyone know where to get a replacement for this particular part? I do see lots of pics on the net but these are all for trucks. The 74 has a full removable top making the door different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You might have to order the unit that LMC carries and see if you can make it work? I forgot that your doors are different from my 76? I would start search all CL states/areas. That's one of the things I like the most about the hobby. The search!!!

Use a wire wheel to clean up the broken area and braze it. It'll be good as new.

Snoots your idea of brazing was close to what I did. I soaked my parts and deleted all rust and then used metal rods to stablize a nice mixture of JB Weld. I dont have brazing skills so this is what I could do. Its strong as hell now and I painted all of it to keep the rust out. I then picked up Window Glass Flocked Channel rubber off Amazon:

I used a ruber adhesive and re assembled. Dang thing rolls up and down slicker than snot now.

Thanks everyone for your input. It is very appreciated.

I have a set of 75 full vert top blazer doors I was going to throw away. They're in the junk pile. Have all the hardware in them if you still need this.

So these were in the garbage pile? Its too bad you dont live in AZ, I would take these off your hands. But, i would gladly take the parts inside them. What do we need to do to make this happen?

I really appreciate this as well...so thank you.

Well I had planned to gut the parts out first, but yeah, they're junk to me. They're rusty, and I have no use for them on my blazer.

Understood....I will gladly take the inside window channels if they aren't rusted to heck.
