Cruise Control Dosn't Work... Where do I start?

Well, just got the truck about a month ago, and when I brought it I was told the Cruise Control doesn't work. It's a nice thing to have and I was wondering if there are any common problems that might be behind it

Make sure vacuum is reaching the unit.

Oftentimes the brake switch is bad and sometimes the servo or switch at the turn signal is bad. As 89Suburban suggested, check for vacuum at the servo, then check the brake switch and make sure there isn't vacuum leaking there.

yea mine didnt work when i got the truck but it was just the vacuum hose
