Sounds as if he might be a good candidate for the input sleeve. Sure can't hurt. How much are you getting the sleeve kit for MBP?

Which 3/4 clutck pack kit is that again? Is that the Alto kit?

The 3/4 clutch pack is rhe "pro street or strip only 3/4 clutch"...supposed to be the best.

Honestly I dont know much about the inner workings of a trans-I'm just going off the list that was given me from my trans guy and fellow racer-this list is holding up to 11 sec passes in his truck. Here's the wide reverse input drum I was told to buy.

Also today I ordered the Vacuum modulator (highly recommended by my race buddies) and the reverse input drum to compliment the 2-4 band I have.

Heres a link to the vacuum modulator-supposed to play a pretty impotant role...

https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/product.php?productid=160&cat=58&page=1

So far here is the items that have been recieved/ordered.

Circle D stall-$1,136.00 (circle D)
Vacuum modulator-$96.95 (700r4l60e.com)
Reverse Input drum-$83.50(700r4l60e.com)
Transgo HD2 shift kit-$87.90 (summit)
Pro street or Strip only 3-4 clutch pack-$89.16 (700r4l60e.com)
Carbon fiber 2/4 band-$26.00 (700r4l60e.com)
Beast sunshell-$46.00 (700r4l604.cm)
bushing kit-$20.00 (700r4l60e.com)

For a grand total of about $1,585.51 spent.

Still on my list is the

Alto Clutch kit with molded pistons (about $200 I believe from PATC.com)

And the hardened output shaft (no idea how much)

And also the hoses and fiittings from summit to run straight from the trans to cooler back to trans. Eliminating radiator cooler. Those parts equal about $120.00.

So I definetely have about $330 more to spend not counting the hardened output shaft. We'll see! Its coming together though!

I'd be alot more concerned about hardened 300m input shaft than I would the output shaft. Snapping the input shaft is farily common, even with the input drum sleeved, you can stil snap the shaft in front of the sleeve.

Took all the trans parts I have to my builder-he confirmed I'm on the right track so far. They said they'd contact Vince at FLT and get that bearing kit for the beast sunshell that hotrod was talking about. Also-apparently Vince has developed a new pump for the trans, it considerably improved the flow of fluid which according to them is critical. I'll be one of the first to get that pump.

As far as hardened input and output shafts, they are expensive as hell. Might as well go billet. PATC wants 538 just for a hardened output shaft. That's gonna set me back a few weeks.

Also going to pull the transfer case apart while I have it out. There is a retaining clip that breaks inside and over time can wear out the casing of the tcase! And leak like hell. So I'll buy the new revised clip, 2 quarts of autotrak II fluid and the sealer they use. Voila!

Check TCI for the shafts. They are usually cheaper, but yes, the shafts are expensive. I'd be curious about the new pump too. Fluid flow is important too, but being able to keep one together and from breaking the vanes out of the rotor, or vane rotor would be my biggest concern. I'm sure they are aware of that too and have handeled it if they revised the whole pump.

How long did it take you to get your transmission stuff from 700r4l60e.com?

I'm still waiting on the stuff I ordered :(

Delivery time was excessive. Waited about 2.5 weeks before I tried to call, got no answer, left voicemail, didn't get a call back but got an email "your stuff Is on it's way".

Took a few more days...not impressed with delivery time

This appears to be one beefy build. After all these upgrades, I'd be curious see to where the weak link is going to be.

We shall see I guess. I'm trying to cover most my bases while its out.

Today I picked up the new retainer clip for the transfer case, and the fluid and the paper gasket that I'm not sure if I'll need or not. Wouldnt hurt.
