I have an 83 Silverado that now has a 96 5.7 style serpentine setup. I could use some help running new A/C lines with the 96 sanden style compressor. I replaced the evap & condenser with original 83 stuff. What I need is a universal a/c barrier hose set to run new lines. Recommendations?

Your truck did not come with barrier hoses. Slip on fittings will not work with barrier hoses. Find a hot-rod shop for a referral, you will need them custom made.
Good luck!
I’m still running R-12 in mine

Its not hard to do yourself. Run your lines & fittings, mark them for proper orientation. Silver sharpie works great on black hose.
Take them to a shop and have them crimp them for you.

I got a set of hoses from an S10 blazer an a local radiator shop welded on crimp style fittings to the end of the hard line portion for me. This was for vintage air but should work the same as long as you can find the fitting sizes for the other stock components.

There's a good picture of it here.

I would have liked it to be cleaner but there's not a great way to get them out an down the side of the engine. I could not find a adapter block that correctly fit that compressor at the time.
