I know this will probably rub some members the wrong way but I was wondering if 99 Didge V10 could be swapped into my 90 Suburban.

I have had the Dodge since new with 139k on it it runs great. PENNDOT took care of the body and it is really rusted out. I don't know if the body is with saving.

The Suburban is rust free with 201k miles but the 350 is a little sad but is still reliable. The trucks weight roughly the same so if I could get that out of the hole power in the Suburban that would be great and the Dodge wouldn't be just crushed.

4x4 part makes it more complecated. Will need dodge 4x4 transmission and adapter for the transfer case. The rest is fab work and mounting

Anything can be done with enough time and effort, but when it comes to bastard swaps, having two thing's doesn't necessarily mean you should put them together.

Personally I'd punt the Dodge stuff to a Dodge guy and get a big block.

My opinion is to sell the dodge as is and let the next owner decide if they are gonna scrap it or part it. As for more power from the Suburban, if you want to do all of this fab work then 12V Cummins is the way to go. Otherwise you can build a tbi 350 to about 300hp and not break the bank or go with an LS swap. The last two options allow you to keep your driveline stock since you can bolt up an LS engine to a 700R-4. I understand the sentiment with having the vehicle since new so maybe try and find a decent cab and bed to swap onto your V10 frame?

Unless he swaps in a dodge front rear or a Ford for that matter.

I'd rebuild the Chevy engine them V10s are gas hogs. Plus if I remember correctly that v10 sits kinda under the dash a bit. With a big block space gets ate up towards the radiator let alone a v10.

Thanks guys that pretty much sets me straight. Once the 350 gives out I will have it rebuilt to be stronger. Hopefully it makes it to 300k.
