84 c10 won’t start. Gear selector won’t shift out of park.

I have an 84 C10 Silverado and a multi part question The key cylinder was sticking and now it just turns with no feedback or resistance. Another symptom is the gear selector will not move. It will not shift out of park. I disassembled the steering wheel area. I can’t figure out how to get this plastic thing out. It has 2 wires on one section with connectors and there’s another part that has several wires but doesn’t seem to have a plug. Please help! This is my baby and my only vehicle.

Look for a video or instructions for GM ignition rack replacement,it probably is the rack but you will have access to the gear and the key and tumbler. GM columns are pretty much the same 1968-forever Camaro,Truck,Cadillac they just didn't change much so any video or instructions should do.
