I wish I could swing it but she'd kill me if I brought this home. I'm going to this guys house tomorrow to buy his 63 cab and shoot the ****. If anyones interested lemme know! scroll to the last page

They say the side trim on that truck (complete) is worth that alone.

I had a 62. I wasn't fond of the knee knocker from the wrap around windshield. I also did not like the X frame tunnel about those models. I sure like the 64 to 66 much better.

Looks to me like he got another frame for it...also has leafs.

I think the slanted front of the cab/curved window looks more vintage, but I like mine too.

Yes, he went with a 62 GMC which is leaf spring rear end. Back then, the significant differnece in GMC and Chevrolet was the suspension, GMC being stronger, got the leafs, Chevy got the coils. However, you could get the Heavy Duty Upgrade in a Chevy, so there is also some Chevys that have OEM leafs. This is true up to at least 68 that I am aware of.

the leaf/coil rear suspensions lasted up until 72, when everything went leaf.

I figured it did, but have seem many more 69-72 with leafs than coils. But they were heavier trucks too. One of them being a Camper Special with a BBC OEM.
