So the title probably says it all. Im curious about upgrading the lackluster tbi setup in my 1991 (gmc v2500 burb) and Im curious what options exist for the trans.

I know that the trans uses signals from the tps and other stuff so if I fiddle with the efi is there a simple way to incorporate a typical upgraded system into running the trans as well? There are standalone systems to run it.. but theyre pricey.

With the stock tbi system Ive had alot of luck just not much power, Im also getting an odd surging constantly now, like someone is unplugging that little brown wire going to the distributor.

I believe Edelbrock will sell you an aluminum intake with a chip that retains everything but the manifold itself.
