I’m back fellas and I need more help. The truck (83’)has been sitting after I received a notice from the dmv stating I had been sent to a state ref. I’m new to carburetors and have no idea or clue on what i need to get done. Unfortunately the truck was sold in California so it came with the infamous electronically controlled carb. What are some things I can do to begin the process of getting it ready to pass smog. Starting from basics to the more tedious parts the car. It has never been modified or tampered with at all. It runs but not that great sometimes when accelerating it will flutter and struggle to get gas and fuel which I assume can be the computer getting bad input from a sensor of some sort. Do I start with changing the plugs and the o2 sensors? Maybe check the wiring? Vacuum hoses? Any advice would be greatly appreciated if only this truck didn’t have that POS computer controlled carb. I have even bought a brand new carb from mountain Mike that I hooked up and not too sure if I installed it wrong but it wouldn’t start so I must have done something wrong. Let me know if any pictures are needed.
