    87 to 94 5.7L?

    So I went and picked up an engine at the salvage yard. It is out of a 94 Sierra. The guy said it would work, but now that I am home, I am not sure about how the wiring is all going to hook up. Did I buy the wrong engine?

    I had an '86 about 15 years ago. Picked up this '87 last night for my 14yo son. He has exactly 2 years to get it ready for his daily driver. Bought for $300 with a thrown rod and no transmission. Now, where to I find the original paint color/interior color/model codes and a decoder?
