    Engine lift points

Love the one I got. The screws are kept on the plate and you pull out what you need. Solid and secure to the block. Nothing wrong with chains, but there's no hunting bolts/washers and setting height of chain when using a block plate. I would NOT use a plate that bolts where a carb is...

    Removing engine and trans.

Good info. I always start up front and save the drive shaft/crossmember out for last as I know it's gonna leak fluid out the trans. At that point it's a "lets get it out quick" for less of a mess.

What have you done to your square lately??

Been there....leaks again. Going with another option. Might even install sprayers on the cowl.

What have you done to your square lately??

Washer fluid reservoir leaking again. I had to try this. The stock pump isn't strong enough to pull fluid with this setup. I'll probably go with a 2 liter aluminum tank from Amazon for $30 and a different pump. Then again, might just upgrade the pump and let it fly.

Most affordable shipping for body panels?

We have a guy that I found on Craigslist. He supplies the body shops as well as the DIY'selfer. You'd be surprised, check craigslist to see if you have someone in your area that does the same. His prices are 5-10% higher than online (before shipping) and he delivers free to our local Hardee's...

What make/model pump are dependable these days? I put in the ACDelco EP381 and they want $160+ for it now. [edit] this was added to a 87 burb sender/tank Little hijack, sorry OP, but it's for your benefit as well.

K20 Suburban Flaming River tilt column (also Wolff Engineering bearing)

I was really close to buying one, but I reminded myself that the issue I had with mine coming loose was because the previous owner didn't install the stock replacement correctly. So I, not knowing any better, installed it the same way. Same issue. After I looked at it and figured out the...

    Looking For Jeep Steering Shaft

if you got a pick n pull yard close to you, check their website for the correct models. If you see multiple, grab them all and share the wealth and sell or trade here. After the 2nd one, you'll have them out in about 7 minutes per shaft if not less.

    Bed mount winch

you got me thinking about the floor bolts. Maybe just weld some thicker nuts to the front four and have a plate with the winch already mounted to it. Like you said, have to deal with the nuts sticking up. Or even 4 nutserts on the lower ribs of the bed. Leave the bolts in when not in use...

    For you LS swap guys.

If your using a non-plastic tank radiator, and have a radiator shop close enough, they can install a fitting just below the cap for the steam vent line. If your good at sweating, you could prolly do it yourself.

What new tools have you got lately?

normal ceiling in the garage I got these and paid ~$20 for longer extensions. They daisy chain so you only plug one in. So for ~$65 you get 6 lights, not including flashing if you don't have reflectors/flashing. Cardboard and metal tape is cheaper than flashing I'm sure....just an option...

    Bed mount winch

Bed winch mount frame thoughts. No welding to the vehicle. Bolt to the 2 vertical square things on the front (sorry don't know what they are called), and bolt angled bars to bed bolts. Only welding is on the winch frame itself. Can be removed. The tubing is 3/8" thick. Main use would be to...

83 K5 Blazer LS swap issue

@iamtherealJayy yup, disconnect the battery, then put your meter on ohms. Then put a lead on the negative battery cable, and test EVERY ground connector on the ECM connector. After that check all your wires to the throttle. The p0650 is an issue with the bulb/indicator you have wired for the...

    LS swap fuel system

as much as I hate to say, I wish I had installed an external fuel pump. This way in the future, when in doubt you can get to it easier to swap. Just a thought on where you're at right now. Also put it where you can get to it easily. I put mine in the tank so "it wasn't so loud" as most say...

So would the "relief valve" internals need to be changed as well going from an '86 pump to a say 2006 pump? All I changed was the fitting on my swap.
