I might not be familiar but, is that a special deal or does knock off reflect your quality estimation if edelbrock carbs in general?

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

I'll take the regulator out the line for a test and see how that changes or not changes. It runs perfect everytime and I am getting used to the uncomfort every Mile made

    Manual gear lever housing wobble

Sorry, I never returned on this. Hints tend to point in that direction more and more.

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

Could be, a gauge probably has tolerances, too. Question is still why the pressure drops when warming up. Probably will keep it as it is and see where it takes me

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

The manometer displas 10psi w/o regulator. At least on paper it is too much.

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

True, missed out on some details. It is a mechanical Pump. Besides the changed carb and the stripped out emissions stuff, it is a pretty stock original motor. Reason for the regulator is that the carb asks for 5 to 6 psi. It was said and written that the stock pump delivers too much pressure...

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

Runs perfect. But that doesn't support faith. On the other hand, i run edelbrock carbs on stock fuel pumps for years without gauge or regulator. And never a problem... Change for a better sometimes changes a running system and that we all know we shall not to mess with...

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

Debris, yeah good point. I ruled that out because the filter is clean. I will keep it in mind. Gas cap, that is quick check. Thanks for the hint. That theory matches the time related correlation of the problem needing a warm engine to pop up.

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

Good day everybody So I have a 12-803 holley regulator between fuel filter and the edelbrock 1400. When started and cold at idle the manometer shows 5,5 and a very steady needle. It is a liquid filled gauge btw. The warmer the engine gets, the more drops pressure. A test drive yesterday showed...

    What type of transmission

For now it shifts fine. Hope I won't have to get to work on it anytime soon

    What type of transmission

Funny, for me that kind shifting was the reason to get me that truck For quick shifting the floor shift i better but I want to feel like in those old movies and I love it

    What type of transmission

I Hope there is someone here with a 3 on tree and a year like mine. To see what that might look like and, once needed, to have some brain to ask for memories. I am thankful the only "trouble" I have seems to be the wobbly shifter housing Let's see...

    What type of transmission

Thanks for the thougts and walk through. Once warmer outside I'll check underneath at the transmission. Point is however that my has not that colar. And that is where me being puzzled started

    What type of transmission

well, that picture is of a video explaining how to adjust the linkage on a late 60s c10. Word is however, for what I did read, that this column shift linkage is the same for all those years including squarebodys. In fact, I didn´t find a picture specifically for a squarebody linkage and the shop...

    What type of transmission

Bringing up the follow-up topic. Not that I need to align the linkage, it works just fine, but preparing for it. What is the procedure? Apparently the videos showing the how to do it work with a colar that changed the distance between the levers R&1 and 2&3. That colar is not there, making me...

    What type of transmission

At all pics I found so far the two links are equally long and face to face. With mine the one link is a) longer than the Other and b) it is angled. I never saw a pics showing that like what i have. That brings me to the point. Always thinking that were a saginaw, Is it or is it not? Does the...

    What type of transmission

Hello every one Spending time with my shift lever housing wobble I had a look at the linkage, too. What I expected to see is linkage like this from a you tube video What I found is And that looks a lot different, right? My Google capabilities are poor enough to not finding an explanation...

    Poll: Ported v Manifold Vacuum...

The never ending discussion. I learner there were no pure yes or no, right or wrong. Both sides have pros, cons, dos and donts. Bottom line, what ever your motor runs best with, its yours. Back to the question: Edelbrock 1400 Manifold delco hei 12mpg, mostly driven between 40-60 mph, little...
