NP 203 Shift pattern

Engaging 4x4 in 84 High Sierra
Anybody know how to engage 4 wheel drive...I have a 84 GMC Sierra. Lock hubs... 2wd drive to 4hi...I can transfer in Drive while shifting up once ? 4hi to 4lo ...I have to put in Nuetral and shift up one more time? 4lo to 4hi ...back in Nuetral...shift down once. 4hi to 2wd...in...- 19gmc84

Replace Axle Bearing and Seal
Have a 1984 GMC High Sierra 4x4 with fairly new rear end ...it has Jegs axle shafts installed. I noticed I was leaking a great deal of gear oil from driver side rear wheel from bottom of brake drum. 84 GMC white smoke raw feul smell
84 GMC...350...Holly fuel pump, Edlebrock carburator...notice the last couple starts...short burst of white smoke with rich gas smell at startup...other than that...engine started and ran fine...I have noticed it runs very high at idle like choke is stuck when first started up...have to punch...- 19gmc84
