    Can you dig it.

I had a 69 Buick Wildcat four door that cigarette lighters built into the back of the front seat for the rear passengers. Ashtrays were everywhere. I bet the fusible links would pop if all the cig lighters were going at once. The car also had a legit thermostat instead of the normal cold to hot...

    Square body on new chassis?

The 05 BCM is in the junkyard with the old cab. The 77 cluster/dash are old school and need only wired as they were stock. The OP gauge is mechanical. The D-max has a pipe plug near the oil filter i plumbed the gauge too. The temp was a little more tricky, had to tig a bung on the T-stat housing...

    Ford 460 project

Depending on your goals and parts availability it might be cheaper and faster to sleave those two bores and reuse your pistons. Those bores might need sleeves anyway so I'd think about it.

    Wife’s new toy

I have a 64 80 that I restored. Its stock appearing. I built a hotrod 196 to replace the anemic 152, upgraded to the D44 rear and added the warn OD. Its my legit daily driver in the summer, average about 75-90 miles a day. Lots of thumbs up everywhere I go. I have a line on a Scout II, but i...

Internally v. Externally Balanced 383 ID

If your running an automatic the 400 flexplate is readily available. 400 flywheels are harder to find, but you can always run the sandwich weight.

Internally v. Externally Balanced 383 ID

This is not accurate, and especially not when dealing with aftermarket cranks. Theres way too many variables here, and 400s were the only pre-86 sbc to be externally balanced, and shared the same flange as any other internal balance sbc. Stroker cranks were made with both one or two piece style...

    Stock 350 with SM465 4speed

No need to replace the flywheel, it can.be resurfaced at any machine shop. It's pretty straightforward, drop the trans and send it.

Steady 5.5psi fuel pressure drops when warmed up

You need an isolator to get a proper pressure reading when dealing with such a low PSI. You're probably fine, as mentioned once the gauge is hot it's no longer accurate.

    all time 4 wheel drive

I had a 77 blazer for awhile. It was kinda unpredictable in the snow. Sometimes the front would spin when i thought the rear would or vice versa. It was fine when locked. It also got the worst fuel mileage...

Where's the resistor in the coil pink wire from ignition switch?

Yeah you're way off base here man. The small cap HEI, the efi distributor, uses a full voltage. The resistor wire was only for points.

    Reverse rotation water pump

Nearly every engine with a serp belt has a reverse rotation pump. This is ideal to give both the crank and water pump pulley maximum belt contact info. The only difference is the impeller in the pump. GM puked these out by the 1000s daily, you won't have a single issue.

    78-79 Z28 scoop

Neat idea. I've seen the L88 vette scoop on lots of other cars but never seen the tear drop scoop swapped before. I don't think the camaro hood has much of a bend to it, chances are you could finesse it into place.

Vortec bottom end/TBI top end: timing?

You can buy a square bore intake for relatively cheap and use the TBI adapter. That's what i was going to do, but sold my 93 before I had the chance

Vortec bottom end/TBI top end: timing?

You would be miles ahead to buy the TBI intake and run the vortec heads. Huge power increase. But, yeah you can leave the plastic cover in place. The timing mark will work just fine.
