Under dash recon mission

Clock stopped working
Thanks Chengny. Went out today and no sound what so ever coming from it. Going to test it this weekend at least to make sure I have hot in the BAT. I went ahead and looked at some replacements. Uhm, dayum they are proud of them.- Ole87

Thanks Chengny. I also tried pulling the adjustment knob with no luck. I wont have time to look at it again until this weekend. I will pick up a tester and make sure I have current going to it. Clock stopped working
Well no luck. Clock has an orange wire and a black wire. Orange wire goes to the box in one of the BAT locations and the black is grounded on the sidewall and secured with a nut. I wiggled the wires at both the clock and their end points with no success. I pulled the orange wire out of the BAT...- Ole87

Thanks Kyle! The interior is actually in really good shape with exception of a few things like the door pulls and map holders. The dash has the one cracked area where the speaker goes in the center. I am in the process as we speak of repainting all of the trim and parts for the door panels...- Ole87

The adhesion promoter is recommended but not required based on the information on the paint can as the paint also has promoter in it. I didn't want to take any chances of it peeling a week after use. Prep work is the key. I washed it with regular household soap, then a scrub down with a scotch... -

Thanks guys for all your responses. This gives me a great starting point. Someone else had recommended the Eastwood rust encapsulator. Will probably start with the grinding or wire wheel. Try the converter then sealer and a light prime. If the weather is ok this weekend, I am going to get... -

It's on both door jambs. There really isn't any rust on the door itself in that area. As you can see though, it is real flaky. While I also didn't think there was a seam there, I don't know if you can see in the pic, there looks to be some type of adhesive? It's not real hard, but yet is a... -
