Do 16” wheels fit K30 brakes?

I’ve seen lot’s of pics and threads on here of people running 16” wheels but I am still unsure of some of the differences between the 10/20/30 series. Do 16” wheels clear the brake drums and calipers on a K30? Just deciding what size wheels to get and the selection of tyres in a suitable size...

Safe lowest tire pressure for 16.5” wheel.

I was completely wrong. So very very wrong. At 0 psi on the gauge i gained, maybe a quarter inch on height. Front wheels off. Bare rims on. Rolled on. Swapped back to tyres. On sourcing some bald 10/16.5 tyres of like a bob cat skid steer. Bald bald ones should be about 27/28 inch diameter...

Safe lowest tire pressure for 16.5” wheel.

Nothing at all above to remove. Just a steel beam. Had a couple of brick width removed and fully opening barn doors fitted to give maximum width. Absolutely love the truck. Can’t wait to get it home and usable.

Safe lowest tire pressure for 16.5” wheel.

The big day has arrived! The garage door has been widened. The transport is booked. My K30 gets delivered on saturday! The one issue? Yes the door has been widened. I have not had it made taller though. The K30 sits at 7ft 3 tall and i have 7ft 1 clearance. I just plan to air the tires...

K30 8 stud (lug) Wheel PCD & alternative wheels

I either need to find some 16.5” tyres to go on my existing wheels or some 16x8s or wider rims so i can run a 37/38” x 12.50 tyre. Anything smaller will look stupid on it. Only tyres i’ve found so far are the interco or petlas. Neither of which are readily available in the UK. But i can get...

K30 8 stud (lug) Wheel PCD & alternative wheels

Haven’t quite got her home yet, in the process of making the garage door a foot wider. One thing i need to sort at some point is wheels and tyres. I have 2 sets. What i believe to be original 8 lug 16.5” alloys with old 37” gumbo monster mudders and some banded steel 16.5” rims with 40”...

Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

passed the details onto my wife but I did not say what the measurement should be. “Measured as best I can, 41.5inchs” Bang on in the middle, presuming it’s 40.5 as she did say 42.5 went either side of the springs.

Thanks. Very specific instructions passed onto my wife. Hopefully this will 99% confirm what the chassis is.

Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

Just to confirm this, my wife works in the warehouse this is stored in, so i need to explain how to measure and don’t want any mix up between American or English terminology. If i ask my wife to measure the width from spring centre to spring centre along the length of the axle tube this will...

Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

This one was imported in 85 according to my registration docs, so was pretty new when it arrived. I have no idea when all the modifications were done. No LHD American vehicles were imported in any great quantity as for a multitude of reasons they aren’t very practical over here. There are...

Chevy / GMC are probably the least common. Hence why i bought the Dodge, plenty about. Most common over here are the Rams and F series Fords usually 150s or 350s. Even the later Chevys are quite rare and usually appear in the form of a well spec’d newish Tahoe/Suburban or a Camaro.

Have i decoded this VIN correctly????

TBH, i just wanna get home. Get pics and get everyones opinion on if its an original chassis. The joys a being a “long distance” truck driver. I say “long distance” because the miles we can do are nothing compared to in America. Photos I have so far, courtesy of my wife. Quite hard to get...
