it worked - trans was 'choking' engine at stop....

Im having the same issue. Out on the road? No problem, coming to a stop i almost have to throw it in Neutral to keep it running. Going to try the trans fix if that doesn't work the torque converter could be the issue?- 81C20AngierNC

Hey Yall
Well good news. Was replacing the valve cover gasket and was wondering why i couldn't find the right one. So I called the parts store and asked if they had a gasket for the 4.8L 292, sure enough 3 bolts on the right 4 bolts on the left. Double checked the motor mounts and the covers on the side...- 81C20AngierNC
