    Read in a HotRod magazine in the 80s or 90s that Krylon dull aluminum was the closest to the original color Chevy used on their steel rally wheels, short of getting paint custom mixed. I've used it for years with excellent results

    Just done some research. Apparently here in MO, I can register my truck with a tag of the same year as the truck and forego the yearly inspection! Just bought a '76 18k MO truck tag on ebay, and I'll have to submit the proper form, and all will be good!

    Replacement mirror heads and elbows?

    Been trying to remove these and clean and paint, but not having any luck. Can't budge that bolt. Afraid of using heat and setting fire to the nylon and rubber washers. I guess there's a threaded bung in the bottom of the elbow?

    Finally got our LS swapped 76 driving last night. New tank, sender, lines, filter/regulator, pump, plugs and wires. Terrorized the neighborhood. HA It's a handful to drive.

    Windshield seal/rubber replacement. is there a preferred brand or is all the same?

    Has anyone used the front and back seals with chrome lock strips from classic parts? Sounds like Precision is the best but I like the idea of the chrome strip, and I don't see that on their website.

    Pulled the door panel on the driver's side, cleaned the gunk out, lubed the regulator, latch, and everything else. Installed new key cylinder and armrest pad. Works like a new one. Replaced the fuel pump, filter, and regulator. Hopefully the dam thing will drive, so I can get on with everything...

    15"x10" Truck Rallys

    My son has been lusting for a pair for his 94 suburban, but after being put on the backorder list for over a year he got a refund and told them to stick it. 295 each is bananas. He's going with the Monte Carlo style for 100 each. FWIW, krylon dull aluminum is very close to the original GM color.

    I found some extruded aluminum that should work to hold 1/8" thick plexiglass. Now to find a four or six inch wide translucent orange plexiglass strip as wide as the truck.

    What did you pay for a square

    76 C30 5.3 LS four speed. Little scabby but solid. Retirement family project. LMC is close, and we're going to be making a lot of trips there. Gave 4500.

    Hey all. My 76 C30 has the original tailgate lights but they're all busted up and rusty. Found some identical replacements on eBay. Seller's name is jstruckparts. A little pricey but worth it I think.

    Sea Foam

    Use the stuff in everything we have. Dumped some in our '48 Farmall Cub after we did an extensive cosmetic restoration. Crap flew out of the stack like you wouldn't believe!
