    Alright I found some wheel studs that where a M12-1.5 that had a wider shank on them. They were for a 80's Toyota truck!! Also found the washers I need as well. I'm back in business! Pumped. Thanks again for the help.

    The crappy thing is, these are stamped November of 1970 for manufacturing date. I don't think I'm gonna find another one to match. I'm hoping the guy I got them from has another.

    So I finally got some tires on my cragars. 15x6, 5 on 5. The problem I have is that the wheel stud holes are wallowed out to where when you screw the wheel nuts ( cragar Ss mag short shanks) on, they have almost a 1/16" play in between the wheel hole and lug nut on all 5 holes....     It was just the intake. I retarded the timing and they went away. Now she's running like a champ. I just gotta get some different valve covers. Those damn chrome ones always warp. It is leaking pretty good outta the valve cover on the header side of the passengers. Driver side sealed great. But...

    Another small question. Why are there small flames coming out of the top of the carb every do often? Is that from all the extra fluid I dumped in there when I was trying to get it to start?

    Alright after a month of bein dumb. I got the camino running. It was out of time for sure. As soon as I got it to the tdc this time. (on the right compression stoke). It was about 45degrees out. I drop the distributor back in. Gor everything hooked back up and the wires tucked out of the way...

    Not that I know of. I have torn it apart. Like I said, it was my dads. So I'm starting in a mess...on a Chevy head, if you are looking from the front on #1 cyl. Does it go intake valve exhaust valve or the other way...

    Alright, replaced that ign ecm fuse and the gauge fuse that was blown. I did find out the ecm has been cut out, by looking at the ignition control module (dr100 part #) and the fact that the wires are all cut out under the hood. Put a fully charged battery in it. Got it all put back together...

    Alright, got the fuel to come through to the carb. I know its at tdc. I pulled the valve cover on #1 side. Intake and exhaust valve were both up, it did blow my thumb of #1 cyl. Rotor bug was pointing at #1 plug. The balancer mark was lined up with 8 degrees before tdc. When I set the cap back...

    Ok, today I went ahead and checked connections on the starter. The ground post was loose. So I tightened it up and reconnected the wire.     There was fuel. The car has been sitting since may, with the intake off and carb off. I just put the intake and carb back on today. I also put new plugs in it as well. The wires are good as well. The coil should be good too. There should be fuel in the tank. It ran before I took of the manifold.

    Ok, I will do that. I've tried starting it 8 times, not holding the key forward for any longer than 10 secs, pumping the gas pedal as well. Should I see any fuel in the fuel filter? Even if it hasn't started.

Pulled #1 plug, pulled the distributor, turned the motor over with a breaker bar til I felt my thumb being blown off, slowly cranked it to where the timing mark lined up with "0"...
