    Did you end up making the swap? I've thought about this, too. Eventually, I'd like to get a 5.3 or 6.0 and a 4L80E to put in my Suburban, but that's going to be a longer project. I'm leaning towards just using that money for the swap.

    I do love old Buicks! I had a '65 Skylark GS 4 speed, '87 turbo Regal, and a '70 Skylark. The CB on the '70 would have been awesome. Maybe that Wilson would be the way to go. Where did you sneak the cable in through? I'd like to avoid drilling holes, if possible.

    I didn't see a number or any writing on it. The red wire even has "Fusible Link" written on it to help identify, but I didn't see anything on the purple wire
