Got a quote today of $700 for cab and $1200 for rest of body… and I’ve gotten higher than that. I can rent everything I need for a day minus the media for under $350
Yes very nice. Are those 20gal duels! Does that only come in black? Im thinking of doing a gunmetal color to match the transfercase I’ll be painting too.
Just took off 76 duel tanks and was able to syphon them clean and not bad on inside. Outside just gunk and light surface rust. Looking for advice on primer and paint. Thanks
When you do a cab off degreasing and you discover this which I was not able to see with years of grime caked on. Are there transfer case mounts or do I just swap whole thing out?
I’m “trying” for as close to a rotisserie stock restoration as I can. Im going to cut the two tack welds and completely disassemble to blast and prime every crevice I can.
Were the stepside bed sides originally welded to the rear tailgate brace or did guys do this later? Here are pics of two separate beds with completely different welds.
So I have 76 stepside (2nd pic) bed that needs a good amount of work and found a new bed box that needs less. I’ve noticed some obvious differences where tail lights attach but can’t figure out what this thread hole is for? Also someone removed the tailgate brackets. Does anyone sell just those?
I need to replace a door on 76 resto, very difficult to find without rot in my area. So started looking for set of doors and came across the Gordon’s on FB market place (no glass)
In the exact same boat but haven’t gotten to cutting yet. Been trying to find quality parts locally first. Scored some early 2000’s Tapco rockers and cab corners recently. Still need floors, inner rockers and footwells.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t there supposed to be a built in lip here to hold the board not just the metal strip I removed. I’m tearing down to do bodywork and noticed this.
Thanks for the info! I was planing on purchasing this floor land as it’s full and comes up the seat hump.
