    That 9 volt came in an old CB radio power mic. Somehow not corroded. I should take a pic of them old CB’s. I have a few, but no antenna. Is anyone out there, anyway? And the yellow beetle is actually a lint brush!

    Last weeks rabbit hole on a repurposed old elementary school. I just had a customer, who’s family cabbin at a lake is a mobile arm barrack. Two module units with bunks and joined together by the bathroom. Bought at auction in the 70’s. They even have the title for them. Sorry, no pics.

    Thanks for the pic. I’ll make something that uses some old mount holes, plus the tail housing bolts. Then shorten the rods.

    That pic isn’t my trans. Mine currently has the shifter mounted far back on the tail housing. I’ve heard all you need is a tri-five Chevy bench seat shifter shaft to work in a square with a bench. But, I could replicate the set up above and hopefully use a straighter shaft.

    I found this pic online with no other info. I think it would fit my C10 bench seat combo. I could always modify the Hurst/saginaw setup that I have waiting to go in.

    Yes and I have a driveshaft that supposed fit my short bed. Gotta get or make a tri five style bench seat shifter stick. I have a truck 4 speed now. Hopefully straight forward swap.

    I bought this last year. But, just picked it up today. It was at a buddies shop 2 hours away. I think I paid $200 with a bell housing. It is going into my C10.

    We have Pyrex Fest coming up soon in town. A local shop, called Joe Retro has the event, twice a year. Brings people from all over the country.

    I looked up my engine block 3 letter code. Turns out my 83 C10 has a 1975 350 rated at 165HP. It’s not a power house. It’s definitely been rebuilt. I wonder if it has the original cam.

    I have one of those, too. It has the smooth black knob. It’s sitting g for now. I’ll probably use one of my Berg shifters for the chopped bug.

    My pics are the 3 above. The blue engine pics(not mine)are very similar. I would say my balancer is a bit further out. I don’t know when, but I’ll find time to work on it. I have my biggest food truck event of the year coming up. Super busy.

    Not my pics. But, balancer is spaced out like the blue engine pic a my tab I calibrated like the other pic. Without the water pump everything is visible. Mines not. I will try to mark the line a little better.

    It’s hard to see, but the shiny part under the water pump is the back edge of the balancer. Plus the bottom view.

    I haven’t checked the vac pod. But, I will. I know the mechanical advance is t frozen. The carb has two vac ports. Right now I have it to manifold vacuum. That’s what the inseems to say for non EGR engines. The pointer is at 2 o’clock. But, I’ll get a pic. I always thought this 350 was sluggish...

    Ills see if I can take a pic tonight. I messed with the time, because the wires were all moved over one terminal. I wanted to fix it while the carb was off.

    I have that timing tube and it looks like “o” is one of the marks right next it it. However, the balancer isn’t under the timing tab. It forward, the pulleys line up. So something is mismatched. The truck was a 305 and is now a 350. When I look down I can BARELY see the back edge of the...

    I think I have a 305 balancer on my 350. It’s not under the pointer. So it’s hard to see with the timing light. Plus the mark is probably off.

    Got to work on the truck today. This carb needs zippers. Had it out two more times. Found the main issue. Under the needle and seats(there’s 2) are mess filters. One was clogged almost solid.
