What have you done to your square lately??

I did, and couldn't find one, at least not on the back side of the wheels. Possible it blew a line edit - it's parked on melting snow so tough to spot any drips

What have you done to your square lately??

I drove the 77 K10 for the first time this year. Needed to pick something up in the city. Part way through the drive the brake warning light came on so I pulled over and popped the master cylinder cap off. The rear most reservoir is empty. Was able to accomplish the mission but now have a...

    Magnetic Block Heaters, Gas Engine?

In my experience the magnetic oil pan heaters are not as effective as coolant heaters, but are better than no heater at all.

Installing a New Exhaust System Including Headers

I only have experience with the flowtech and the summit long tube headers. The collector flanges on both were not past the shackle. I don't have a pic but my flowtech fit like the ones in John's pic above.

    Fan blade

I see you found one but I just wanted to put it out there in case someone else is in that boat in the future that Speedway Motors also has a good selection of non clutch belt driven cooling fans, I got one there for the SBC powered willys jeep. I got to pick the pitch, diameter, blade type etc

The squeaking is getting on my last nerves

Did you use urethane bushings or rubber bushings? I've heard that the urethane ones can be loud if not sufficiently greased on installation.

Installing a New Exhaust System Including Headers

You've been fortunate. The headers I bought were correct for the application but were a bit crooked where the collector was welded on. Resulting in the driveshaft being in the way.

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

I just did this last week on my '77. You are correct, there is a ground wire and a power wire, which was recommended to connect to the wiper motor wire. And of course the electric choke itself which mounts to the manifold. Nothing needs to be changed vacuum wise. I had been having choke problems...

Kobalt vs dewalt for a sawzall

Have the Dewalt 20v chain saw, it's been very handy for small jobs but goes thru batteries more quickly than the recip saw

I use the Dewalt 20v reciprocating saw, with 6ah batteries, no issues at all

Installing a New Exhaust System Including Headers

Just wanted to update this thread, I wound up installing Flowtech long tube headers which fit great, and a Thrush dual exhaust kit which included mufflers. The exhaust kit needed modification, but the truck now sounds great, way quieter and far more enjoyable to drive.

Need help identifying this metal line coming out the back of my carburetor

Not needed if your brakes don't have a vacuum boost.

What have you done to your square lately??

Finally got around to installing the exhaust on the K10, consisting of Flowtech headers and a Thrush dual exhaust kit that I bought a couple years ago and had in storage till now. The headers fit great, the exhaust not so much, but after some cutting/welding/bending, it's on. I can't comment on...

    Locked Hub Isn't Really Locked

I cleaned up the hubs and gave them a good spray with chain lube. They work as they should now.

    Locked Hub Isn't Really Locked

These hubs are presently packed with what looks like ancient lithium white grease which is likely the problem.

    Locked Hub Isn't Really Locked

Truck is a 1977 K10, 350 4sp, spicer manual locking hubs. The other day I needed to use 4x4 to move the truck to a different location across some snow. Locked the hubs, shifted to 4hi, and carried on. Got stuck. Front driveshaft was turning but the front tires were not. Had to get the Ford to...
