Hard Start when engine is warm.
Some one have cut the metal line off a little above where the valve cover meets the head. The rubber line to the carb. I saw that others talked about the fuel boiling off, thats why I got the aluminum sleeve to put on the rubber hose. I got it from the fuel pump to the carb. I'm goint to check...- Asgeir

I have a Holley 600 cfm that was rebuilt at a carb shop. The carb is dialed in and adjusted from the carb shop and the choke was pulled off the carb, was told I didnt need it here in this weather.- Asgeir

Hello all, My 1984 C10 has a 383 in. She will start just fine when cold, but when I drive it and the engine gets warm and park it, I can come back three minutes later and it will not start. 305 Swap To ???
I was in the same boat, for my 84, it had a 305 that was dead. Got a 350 SB TBI from a 87 and made it a 383. I was 50/50 on the LS swap, wanted to keep it old school.- Asgeir

Temp sensor disconnected
On my 305, the sensor is located on the driver side, between the two spark plugs. Green wire is the temp wire. On the 383 Im building, a 87 TBI 350 block, it is located in the same area. But I also seen some on the intake manifold by the themo stat.- Asgeir

305 to 383
We got a new radiator for it. The old one had pin holes in three different spots. Think they hit it with the engine, the fins were smashed.- Asgeir

Well, pulling out the old motor revealed that the 305 has been replaced with a 86 305, and let me tell you, it was a I have a guy that can do it cheaper job. A silicone job. Aint no need for gaskets when you can silicone everything lol.- Asgeir

The 383 is pretty much built. We are going to use the distributor, headers, water pump, and fuel pump from the 305 to put on the 383. Next month it will be put in the truck. I will get pics of it in the truck once we get there.- Asgeir

So when I bought my 84 c10, she had a 305 that was tired and wants to die. I tired bring her around, but she doesn't want to stay running and when she does, it has a really bad valve train knock. So I bought a 350 TBI and had it bored out and I'm making a 383. I'm so excited, I'm taking her down...- Asgeir

I bought a 1984 and don’t know what to do???
Hello and welcome. I kinda did the same thing, bought my 1984 c10 with a 305, got it to start and run, but it kept dyeing, had a bad valve train tick. I decided to make a 383 stroker.- Asgeir

What plans do you have for your trucks
My 305 is tired and wanted to die, so I bored out a TBI 350 and making a 383 for it. I cant wait, just waiting on the pistons to come in and then I can start assembling the block.- Asgeir
