rebuild 700r4 or 4180e for my carb-350 sbc
The tires are 37'' Ive been going through and cleaning everything it looks like the 700r4 trans I have was rebuilt (paint and silicone). there was a pin wire disconnected on the side (I'm guessing its the reverse light only.) I plan to drop the fluid/pan. Hoping to find its the booster valve...- BlackThunder

Thanks for the reply.. Thanks for the reply, the gear ratios are a mystery to me until the diffs are open, if I'm right? All I know is I have a 14bolt in back and 10bolt in front. The 1st gear is Bad-A!!! Not sure if I could ever do with out. Where would you buy your rebuild kit for a 700r4. I...- BlackThunder

You guys are spot on with the tall leaf springs and smaller rear lift blocks. I'm doing that! We have big rocks here in AZ. ShiftPro That slip CV on the Diff sounds like an awesome mod. Ah thanks for the reply!! That makes me feel a lot better hearing you say it. What is High steer?? There is ss break lines to the front. I got excited when I saw 4 disk breaks too. Looking again, I do not see a sway bar front or back. PS are the HUGE rims growing on you yet.- BlackThunder

Time to make a decision - My 700r4 has no reverse. I heard that while 700r4 were tough and long geared. The 4180 is more efficient and lasts longer. If forced to do rebuild/replace what would you do? What have you done to your square lately??
Removed driver side power window regulator today. Not too bad. Waiting on the ebay replacement to be delivered tomorrow. Note: This thing has the power window in the tail gate!! So cool!- BlackThunder
