    Trouble Installing New Engine

You said drivers side is "bolted in". Make sure that nut is just started good and isn't cranked down tight yet. If that doesn't free something up, I'd do as Ali said and pull it and start over.

    Valve adjustment question

Man i would 100% spin that distributor 180 degrees. Remember even though you had #1 at TDC, you still have to be on the compression stroke. I would bet if you do that it will fire up.

    Exhaust kit help?!

Looking to install long tube headers and new 2.5" exhaust. The truck already has true duals, but is stock 2" pipe. My question is for those guys that have used a generic pipe kit. Were you able to use a straight pipe coming off the headers, or does it need a couple slight bends? Since I dont...

    Worth the risk?

You are all confirming my thoughts. Since I can't hear it run, I am pretty leary. I think I may try to gamble and get it for about 4-500. Then if there are issues at least there will be enough decent parts to feel OK about it.

    Worth the risk?

Found an engine I may be interested in, and trying to decide if its worth the risk. Supposedly a 355 with Edelbrock heads with only 4000 miles since rebuild. The heads are for sure aluminum, but can't see any identifiers in the pics. Also oil filter looks fairly dirty on the outside to be a...

    Vinyl wrap dash pad

Here’s the pics after a few days. The curves on the right side of the gauges was no doubt the hardest. By time I got to the far passenger side I was really frustrated

    Vinyl wrap dash pad

OK, so I "tried" this. If your dash is in really bad shape I would say it is worth trying on a budget. The large flat areas look pretty good, but most of the corners are pretty wrinkly and I had to seam one spot. Maybe if you are really experienced in laying vinyl and have more patience than I...

    Vinyl wrap dash pad

Has anyone tried the heat shrink vinyl wrap to refurbish a dash pad? Mine is in decent shape but needs some work. Thought maybe a simple re-cover with the heat shrink vinyl automotive wrap might work.

    Cracked windshield

I just had one installed yesterday at a local company. Total was $212. I figured for $60-80 I would pay someone else to install instead of risking me breaking the new glass.
