    4l80e

Thanks Luke. I'm not doing any more than pulling it and reinstalling it when the time comes. I have a guy who's pretty good, just kind of pricey. Will running it as is hurt it badly? Like damaging expensive parts-or am I just going to burn up already toasted parts? I'd like to use the truck...

    4l80e

I picked up a 92 3500 dually with a dump bed for a song on ebay. The tranny was supposed to be bad but when I got the truck fired up, it is drivable. It slips a little mainly in reverse and doesn't shift firmly at all but does catch all gears. I don't want to drive it any more before changing...

Rear disc brakes on the cheap

The drum brakes have a small residual pressure valve in the master cylinder. If you put the disks on where there were drums, a quickie fix is to disconnect the rear brake line at the mc, start a drywall screw into the brass valve and pull it out. Reinstall the line and done.

4 new starters and still wont start

might check flywheel too. it could be bent from all the jacking around hanging up stuff causing everything new to hang up as well. I normally don't need any shims on sbc motors and I've had a lot of them.

    Skinny 6-lug rims

I have several extras but the shipping would cost more than picking them up locally at the junkyard. The ones you want will be from a mid 70's up wagoneer or 4wd GM 1/2 ton trucks so you'll have the correct shape to clear the disk brakes on your Blazer. The ones from the pre 71 GM trucks will...

    TH350 to NP205 adapter

Yes, OD at 77 mph pulling the jeep. Probably burned. I've pulled more many times in OD with the same truck, just never that fast. I might fix it but the truck is pretty rough.

    TH350 to NP205 adapter

Rest of the trip was...eventful. Heading out of Wichita south on 35 at 77 mph with the jeep on the trailer, I was thinking "this is probably the fastest that old willys has ever moved". Well, it didn't last. I slowed to get on the turnpike toward Tulsa and lost 2nd and 4th in the 4l60E. Hope...

    TH350 to NP205 adapter

I'm looking for one of these for the figure 8 pattern 205. Since they only were available in the 70's, I think that's the only style available anyway.

What do you think ? Carb Questions

I'd try adjusting it out first. There isn't a lot too it. Just remember where it is so you can go back if needed. Count the turns, etc. Check the exhaust for rats nest too. I had the cat on my 97 clog up and turn the vortec into a dog at any kind of acceleration. You might want to check...

    Starter Issue

My 97 has 284,000 miles and the starter is just now dragging. I keep waiting for the pig to die but it won't. Seems like you should get more than 80,000 miles out of one.

Broken passenger side OEM bucket seat.

I've got a 97 too. That seat will screw with your brain. Mine will not return to normal operation until I forcibly return the back to the upright position. That has to happen first if I remember right. Then the forward/bacward adjustment on the side will work. Until it stays upright the...

    need some help

Having done exactly what you're talking about before, I'd never do it again to any common car with that many miles and that low of value. If it had a little cool factor it'd be worth it-but that car is not even close. I had to do it twice and then sold it for 250 dollars when it blew again. I...

    Just double checking here

You could get a Dana 44 from a 3/4 ton and swap your outers on keeping your bolt pattern. The 44 is way better than the 10 bolt in my opinion and worth spending a little money on. I say this because I'm assuming your going with some big tires with the 4.88 gearing. Stock and I'd just run the...

Hi, my names Bill and I'm a junkaholic! Found this site while Googling stuff for the M38A1 I just bought. It hit on 82chevy350's thread and that led me to join. I have the M38 I mentioned and the following: (2) 67 M715's 61 GMC half ton step side 62 Chevy K20 87 GMC R10 85 Chevy K30...

The offset is a little different I think. Not much but it might be enough to screw up the look a little. Something to check for anyway.

Lots of items, big and small

Can you post a pic of the 8274? When you say it might need solenoids, do you mean it isn't working or is it unknown? Also, does it have the remote?
