Steering box frame reinforcement weld in plates

Thanks. I probably need one of these for each truck. Wonder if there is any difference in the ORD one and others? Rough country’s is cheaper with free shipping.

Steering box frame reinforcement weld in plates

While working on the C10 yesterday I noticed not only is it cracked its got a chunk missing out of it. PO scabbed a piece to the other side. Not even welded, just bolted. Guess I'll have to fix that too.

More paint erasing. Should get the other side of the bed tomorrow. Also drove the red truck and the toe adjustment did help.

What have you done to your square lately??

Home made toe checkers. It was @ about 1/2" wider in the front than the back. I set to 1/8" narrower in the front from what I read on here. Sound right?

Spent a couple of hours on the door and it does make a mess. I was working outside until the rain began. These are the ones I bought last. https://www.empireabrasives.com/4-1-2-easy-strip-paint-removal-disc/

Those plastic pieces go under and back of fenders to cab if I am not mistaken. Should have some plastic push pins that hold them in. They collect leaves. lol

Finished the cab corners and painting on the white truck. Going to let it sit until I'm off on Thursday and then set the bed back in place.

    Opinions on grounds needed

Had a rear light issue on one of mine and ran a wire from the bed ground to the frame at the DS taillight. Fixed that right up.

What have you done to your square lately??

Tried some Corroseal on the frame while I have the bed off at the moment. Pleased with the outcome so far. I plan to just use this on the entire thing and let it go at that. Looks ok enough to me without going to a lot of extra trouble.
