    Thanks square. Funny (in my mind) how the one affected the other. So your trans vacuum line is attached to a ported vacuum? Pretty sure the other car TH350 is connected to manifold vac and pretty sure the truck is too. Several things to double check.

    Thanks gents. I filled at a different station the other day after the 1-foot tube, which didn't correct the problem (I didn't really think it would). I was able to pump at about 1/2 speed by pointing the handle about 8 o'clock, thereby having the flow avoid the relief vent. That wasn't too bad.
