    Hello from Indiana!

Welcome in Preacher! Jesus is the Gospel and I appreciate your bold statement in telling it! However, you are letting the '72 Malibu suffer it would appear as I see it in the background pic. Shame-shame... I hope that you don't look at my place on Google Earth or you'll be giving me a sermon on...

What lift kit did i just buy

K30 stuff is hard to come by in Central NC. Get out in the western mountains & see them more. I'm parting out an 80 which is also the oldest I've had. All others have been D30 CUCV. I didn't know that about the block on the rear. Thanks for the info. HS

What lift kit did i just buy

4wd hangers drop down farther which lifts the frame & negates the use of a lift block. I figured this out when I was a young pup. I've had many birthdays & many Squares but still haven't done the flip myself tho... HS

What lift kit did i just buy

Isn't the old trick for a flip is to use the front 2wd hanger in place of the rear 4wd & then flipping the swing? HS

    New from TN

Welcome in from NC. I love it down in the Destin/Okaloosa Island area. It's a nice place to visit but is probably much cheaper to live in TN. Nice looking ride you have picked up. HS

1987 3500 HD on FB (not mine)

My wife got banned from FBMP as well. She has been there for 20 years or so and never posted anything until a few years ago. We advertised our camper on there and had many inquiries. We sold it in a day BUT there was a persistent someone that would not produce any payment and would not come and...

    I need a donut

I've got a student replacing the engine in a 97 C1500. The heater hose connector broke (of course) & I extracted the remains & chased thr threads. I spit the PN out for the replacement & he got out his phone & checked me. "Strick, how did you know that by just looking" he says. Here came the...

Help with ignition lock removal - 1984 M1010

Pull the tan/white plastic with the metal contact. Then take a small screwdriver & insert into that cavity. The lock cylinder should remove then. HS

    Transfer Case Brace

The strut brace is there to (help) keep the transfer case from breaking the tailshaft from the transmission. In '81 (or so) the additional bumpstop for the differential was added as well. Years back the old-timers would tell me about the carnage to the driveline when getting airborne on these...

    81 turn signal lens

I've got an '82 K15 and had an '81 K20 Sub. Those parking lights will come out of the bumper and just will get past the bracket by turning them in just the right way. Hold your mouth just right, stick your tongue out and stand on your head is the right combination I believe! HS PS--- I forgot...

    I need a donut

I went to work in parts over 30 years ago. I knew how to find the industrial and "hard to find" stuff because I was patient enough to look in the books. The electronic systems in the parts houses still omitted quite a few parts that were "ordinary" or commonly used. I recently was looking for a...

Planing to lift chassis 84 Suburban

You'll have to cut an access in the cab brace or hole-saw the floorpan to access the stripped cage nut that's spinning. They can be a real pain in the rear. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

Moving spare parts, Squares & FBody stuff. I used the tractor to place the front clip on my 76 just to free up yard space. What a face-lift tho.

    FRONT DIFF SWAP

FORD are driver's drop in that era. You could source an axle from 94-up Ram as well. Sounds like a power train swap and some fabrication work is in your future. HS

    Rustiest K15 around?

Welcome from NC. The chrome showbar earns bonus points! Your truck is MINT compared to my 76 Silverado tho. If it were not for floormats, there'd be no floor! HS

    Transfer case question?

There's an oil pump eccentric in the NP208 that is going to lubricate the case regardless of what hubs are in the front axle. Your truck may get a little better mileage with the manual locking hubs as well. HS
