What have you done to your square lately??

Me and my tuner took the truck for several rides today and he tweaked several things. When we tuned it in October, we changed it to an SSR operating system (for the stick and to get a functioning rev limiter cuz I didn’t have one before) but today when he plugged in, it said Envoy  We’re...

What have you done to your square lately??

For sure, o2s are definitely not all created equal. Bosch especially are known to be problematic these days. The company I got my harness from recommends either Delco/Genuine GM or Delphi. Already tried a Delphi and it was bad so went with the Genuine GM this time. And this time it went from...

What have you done to your square lately??

Pulled the plugs to inspect, trying to figure out why I keep getting CELs for “too rich” on both banks. Of course, didn’t really find anything. Gonna take it for a ride tomorrow and look at fuel trims with my tuner. We suspect leaking injectors

Transmission grinds going into L or R

Could be time for a clutch or could be worn synchros. A couple of my previous mustangs would do that, had to go to 2nd or 4th before reverse cuz of worn synchros

Most affordable shipping for body panels?

I understand where they're coming from just cuz I'm sure people bring them junk alot. But if you could find a set of primo OE doors, there's no reason they'd be any more work than new ones

Lol. I love the sound of them from outside, just can't do the drone. It gives me a headache

    SFV mechanic rec's

Hopefully you can find someone. That's the same story here, unless it's a hotrod shop or a restoration shop, most places won't touch these old trucks and even then, those guys are wanting big jobs, not just maintenance/diagnostic work. I work on my slammed '85 in my garage all the time with a...

    1978 GMC K25 under grille

Curious as to why/what you're looking for? We don't have a GMC specifically but I think we've got a '78 Chevy out back I could get pictures of.

Yessir, our sales counter is open 8-5 M-F. We've got some cool stuff to check out in the showroom too

    Best Flowmaster

Agreed. I have friends that just adore flow 40s dumped in front of the axle and I won't even ride in something if it's set up like that. I like loud, high pitched and raspy over boomy and droney

Most affordable shipping for body panels?

You'd be amazed at what people leave here with. I've seen 2 '69 Charger fenders on top of a Honda Del Sol and nearly a whole '69 Camaro in a ~'05 Impala o_O

    Muffler

If you're looking for a mild sound, a Borla ProXS is a good option. I had them on my C10 for the first version of the exhaust

    Stuck Hood

We converted our '76 back to a '73/74 a few years ago. We have to push down on the hood a bit to get the handle to allow it to pop

    Best Flowmaster

There's not a single Blowmaster that I'd even consider running, they all suck lol. I've had 40s, 44s, Super 40s and 50 series. They all drone like a **** and rust out after a while, end up having a chamber break loose and rattle. Magnaflow, Borla, Corsa are all better options IMO

just added flip kit and truck rides rough in the rear, Help!

That would help and would also drop the truck a bit more. But the main thing is, did you put shock extenders in the rear? They correct the shock angle so they'll function correctly

Those look great, where'd ya get them? I've got large D-rings on my rear posts but want to add something smaller/slimmer up front and possibly on the floor like that as well

4-6 speed, hydraulic operated shift, automatic transmissions that work with first gen 350

A 700R4 or a non-computer controlled 4L60 (4L60E denotes electronic control) would be a good option. Or a 4L80 (again, without the E on the end) would be a stronger option. I believe they went electronic in 95/96-ish? I'm sure someone can chime in about that

    LS 5.3 High Idle

We have a place here in Ga, Fuel Injector Connection, that's all we use. They will (at least used to) flow test your injectors or they'll sell you new ones. The new ones are very well priced (I think I paid ~180-200 for my new set of 52lb/hrs last fall), are new machined bodies in house with...
