    Look at it this way, if you can get a squarebody for under $2k that is not completely rotten, running or not your probably doing pretty good. Its gonna cost money if you keep the 6.2 and its gonna cost you money if you put a 350 in it. How much its gonna cost depends on your mechanical skills...

    Ive had a M1009 (blazer with a j code 6.2/th400/3.08 gears) for a couple years now. Downsides: Diesel is expensive Loud Slow (Its possible to accelerate on a hill on the highway but it really just dosent feel like it today.) 6.2 parts are expensive and sometimes hard to find. Radiator? $400...

    With my np205 and 4l80e I have to shut the truck off to get into 4 low from a stop without grinding (makes the same sound as if you put a moving truck into park while its moving if I try in neutral).

    C30 vs K30 cab difference

    I swapped my c30 cab onto a k30 chassis. My c30 floor was not removable but it was easy to cut it out with a jigsaw and a couple metal blades. Apparently I should have saved the hump behind the cover from the other cab. :uhoh2:

    I would be prepared to replace the metal brake lines in the rear in case you run into trouble getting them off. I know I did!
