vacuum # inches required for proper heater box operation!
had the "blend door" vac can go bad replaced it checked all other functions/ installed back in truck ran all functions off of a vacuum pump. All systems worked as expected with selected option on heater control. Now with the engine vacuum hooked up none of the controls work? best I can get at... -

correct 1 piece gasket to use?
I have a 1982 SBC with the thick timing cover gasket and dipstick on the psg side. I cannot find a 1 piece gasket to do the job! I tried one of the Felpro that have two oil holes on the same gasket and there is NO way it will seal on the opposite side! any suggestions?? Thanks Olnick- olnick

I'll try and keep it short! Feb 2019 I replaced the gearset in my rearend! I went from 2:73 to 3:73 gears. All went well with that change. At the same time I said self change out the brakes while you have it all apart. So I did, removed the backing plates sand blasted them primer and paint... -

speedo revolutions per mile
I'm replacing a worn out (only 42 years of use) 1978 100 MPH speedometer with my only find an 85 MPH unit. Do both of these units calculate speed using the "1000 turn per mile" sae 678 standard or does the 85 MPH speedo use a different standard? I want to make all changes at once so I am NOT...- olnick

Short bed side rust prevention?
I just spent two weeks cutting/grinding /welding/painting on both of my NLA bed sides! 1978 Vent window whistle noise!
